I can’t remember a time when I haven’t lusted after the classic Chanel cap toe shoe, from the ballet pump as a child, to the court shoe when I went for my first job to the now revamped slingback. Originally designed by Gabriele Chanel in 1957 and brought back to life 58 years later by Karl Largerfeld this truly is a classic which will never die. The only thing stopping me running to Bond Street to purchase these beauties is the £455 price tag!
It wouldn’t be a shoe du jour if the fab British highstreet hadn’t followed trend and brought out some amazing imitations….
